We are very excited about our building/renovation project which will result in the amazing house as described below.  Our main aim is to turn a traditional town property into a welcoming and beautifully appointed environment fit for today’s guest.  As a result we are making sure every bedroom has its own bathroom (no mean feat), even if some of these spaces are small.   We are also opening up the kitchen and dining area to create a warm and sunny sociable space.

Main door entrance at Ground Floor level up a few steps from the street- big black door.  Once inside the vestibule our property is the door straight ahead of you.  To the right in the vestibule is the door for the property above us which is the top 2 floors of the building.

We have designed this house to be as flexible as possible, sleeping a maximum of 8 in our 4 bedrooms that can be twin or superking (UK superking bed is 6ft wide).  This house is a winner whether you are a group of 4 or 8.

On this level you have a glorious drawing room with 2 large windows onto the street.  It is a grand high ceilinged room with lovely cornicing and is ideal for entertaining or for relaxing in front of fire (gas fire) and TV.  Also on this floor is the upstairs master bedroom, again very large and with lovely cornice detail.  The huge windows are west facing onto our newly planted garden.  We have added in a small en-suite shower room next door to complete a master bed experience.  Next to this room is a much smaller bedroom which, for single occupancy is all you need, and for 2 adults it is tight but fine.  Next door is your shower room and also downstairs we have a fifth bathroom with bath which can be used by any of our guests looking for a soak.

Downstairs on the lower ground floor we have 2 further bedrooms, again 1 larger one with en suite containing both bath and separate shower and a smaller bedroom with a good sized en suite shower room.  As described above, this floor also has a general bathroom with bath for those preferring a bath.  This lower ground floor also has its own access (gate can be locked) from the street and our heated golf locker is located out in the cellar area accessed by stone steps  down from the street.

Our lower ground floor area contains the large kitchen and dining area which is all open plan.  The dining table can seat up to 10 people.  The dining area offers large double doors out onto our terrace where you can soak up the afternoon/evening sun as it is all west facing.  From the terrace there is access to the garden with lawn and newly planted flower beds – it is a real sun trap out there.

We also have a utility area for washing and drying.  We have a washing machine and separate tumble dryer and there is a pulley for drying items as well as an additional drying cupboard in our downstairs hallway which will be fitted out with shoe/boot drying racks.
